Solitude - Scirene

" By day, she is just a girl; wandering the forest and fields, picking flowers. But come nightfall, her urges become insatiable, uncontrollable and wildly beastlike. She becomes a hungering insect, cursed by lust and ravenous bloodthirst.

The Scirene is a cursed woodland spirit, primarily found in the lands to the Mystic West. It is said she uses song to seduce and lure foolish men and women alike to her cave, where she then transforms to consume her prey. It is something she can't control, as the curse compells her to obey her unnatural urges.

Some believe that Scirenes were young women cursed by older women who were envious of their beauty in mortal life. Others then again believe that Scirences were young women who involved themselves in adultery. Whatever they were in their mortal life, is meaningless now. A Scirene's nocturnal instincts force her to attack and eat; her mind trapped within a bloodthirsty body, as she is subjected to watch her body betray her will every nightfall.

And so by day she is just a girl; wandering the forest and fields, picking flowers, and always wary of innocent strangers. "
