Solitude - Reborn Sluagh

"None truly know who they were before the Ruination. Countless tribes and clans in the thousands, many clad in hedonistic traditions and primitive practices, traversed in great hordes from beyond the mists and swallowing darkness of the Southern Continent, until they they came to its northern lands and shores; where they now primarily settle and roam. There they had brought with them all manner of strange creatures and myths, hailing from even stranger but now gone lands. While these people are diverse and range from tribal nomads to settled feudal lords, they would all eventually be commonly referred to as the Sluagh.

The Sluagh are a people of many cultures and traditions, and uniting them for any common purpose is considered a fool's wasted effort. The many clans and tribes bicker and war against each other constantly, and it is believed the only time they truly united was when they first came to the northern shores of their continent, and conquered the last lands of the former elves; whom the Sluagh also completely massacred. A most common trait of Sluagh culture is their strong bond to fighting and to war, but they are also quite in tune with the forces of the dwindling natural world, as many clans heavily practice druidism. Those most gifted by the Woods and the Wilds tend to show it from branches or leaves growing from their hair, or bark on their skin. Many are also talented shapeshifters.

Most Sluagh are found living in nomadic tribes or small clan settlements throughout their known desert, wood, plains or mountain lands, but some, like those in noble Camlore and the majestic isles of the Grail Sea, have over generations built sturdy foundations and enduring kingdoms; ruled by steadfast kings.

Other more tribal-centric Sluagh most commonly settle or travel the Southern Continent's great barren, white deserts of the White Waighe, the empty plains of the Marched Lands, or the forgotten woods of Aenwyld Glanra. Other clans and tribes are found in other place,s like the treacherous plains of Old Caemora, as well as the rugged lands of Mara Machti, Celth, Morgha Mar, and the giant-homes of the Stonelands. Additionally, a very ancient kingdom hidden away in the mountains of Tirna, known as the impenetrable Ayrd, shows evidence of Sluagh ancients having come to the Central Realms very, very long ago, before the Ruination split apart the world."
