"The Caden Empire, being so enamored and obsessed with the extraction and uses of liquid electricity, volt-infused plasmic fuel, and just lightning power in general, would find itself in a predicament when it came to the colonization of the Pandoran Continent, where electrical storms were non-existent.

This is where the Spark Eel, native to the New World, came in handy. Unlike electric eels in the Old World, Spark Eels live in saltwater, and are able to produce an extremely potent electrical charge without cooking itself in the process. In swarms, vast stretches of the sea sparkle in a show of deadly light.

Bred in the hundreds of thousands from off-shore eel-farms, Spark Eels are primarily used to produce electrical energy in most Caden colonies in Pandora. Spark Eels are loaded into an Eel Tank or Eel Vat, where they are kept in a tight, dark space to elicit agressive behaviour, where they continuously charge electricity and spark it, until they die from exhaustion, and are replaced by a new batch. The spent eels are ground into Eel Paste; foul tasting, but cheap and viably nutritious.

Smaller Eel Tanks are also available for private owners, though the eels come non-included."
